Hello! My name is Y-Dang Troeung (張依蘭) (ទ្រឿងអ៊ីដាង). Pronouns: she/her/hers. I'm an Assistant Professor of English at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) people. From 2012-2018, I lived and worked in Hong Kong. I research and teach in the fields of transnational Asian literatures, decolonial studies, critical refugee studies, global south studies, transpacific Cold War studies, and critical disability studies. I'm currently completing a book manuscript entitled Refugee Lifeworlds: the Afterlife of the Cold War in Cambodia (forthcoming from Temple University Press, fall 2022). I'm an Associate Editor of the journal Canadian Literature: A Quarterly of Criticism and Review and an affiliate of the Asian Canadian Studies and Migration Program (ACAM). I'm available to supervise honours theses and MA and PhD dissertations in the range of fields listed above.
